Apparue,
Loin
et blanche
Comme les reins d'un renne
Propulsée par les collines
De toutes les Russies intérieures
Que nous portons dans les flancs
D'où es-tu venue,     H. ?
De quelle lignée ?
De quel foie de Dieu
Infiniment dévoré par l'aigle du temps ?

Je te salue,
Femme aux yeux de basilic
Dont les silences ourlés
A l'éternité
Chantaient
Chantent encore
Où irons-nous?
   Désormais
Que nos Russies et nos steppes
Ont été assiégées d'industrie

Je connais - j'entends,   H. ?
Dans ta muique
Une taïga
Celle de ma poitrine
Où chevauchent
Des tribus de cosaques
Insoumis
Brûlant de sauvagerie mystique
D'espérance
     bègue

Voluptueux, leurs cris
Vers un dieu
Auquel ils ne croient plus
Et pourtant
Continuent de laper le ciel
A langue nue
Mais leurs chants
Tombent sur leurs genoux
Comme des foetus morts

Où les cathédrales d'antan ?
Les processions d'encens ?
Où la ferveur des icônes ?
Où les croix heureuses sur les poitrines confiantes ?

Aujourd'hui, comme hier
Nulle part
Ailleurs    qu'en nous-mêmes

Le vent parfois chante comme toi,
Née le même jour que ce jour
Où le cerf s'en va battre la terre sous la lune
Et moi

Quelques siècles d'âmes
Entre nous
Et comme rien
Tenant chacune le fil
Du même écarlate

Ce ne sont pas des chants
Qui montent vers le ciel
Mais des morceaux de ciel
Qui appellent dans les champs
Des voyelles
Que le vent articule
Dans l'air et le silence frais

D'où les entendais tu ?
Les chants    D'où ?
De quel corps métaphysique
De quelle organique espérance ?

Le souffle roule
Verbe entre les cuisses de l'âme

Quel corps, dis-tu ?
Vertical

Dans ma bouche
Des nuées de ciel

Ce qui écrit en moi
Au-delà
Par les siècles
Ecrira

Car c'est toujours
A la source unique
Du verbe
Que les livres s'abreuvent

L'hiver mat et franc
Me promet

Depuis trois jours
Sans discontinuer
Le vent nous bat

Et les oiseaux même
Semblent
Des pierres jetées dans le ciel
Par un enfant fou

Creating environment scapes in the brain has lead Nandita’s interest in creating spaces where the viewer is immersed in a sensory/narrative experience. If a change in space due to migration could bring such a huge leap in consciousness for the artist herself, she wonders whether her installed spaces could create even a minute shift in human perception.By curating installations in one of the world’s biggest slums,Dharavi, a project based on health and nutrition, women openly discussed animatedly about sex, domestic violence, and birth control which are all taboo subjects in India. Nandita’s long term vision is to be able to implant interactive installations that can be more long term. Nandita began her artistic career in the realist style. Migration has led her to explore the dynamic process of interplay between events, self and culture. Through the process of reflection and interpretation she started creating brain-scapes and narrated the different psychological experience that she faced due to the new environment.Little stories became large canvases oozing information explosion, emotions, dripping paints and a quest to reconstruct the fragmented reality. Soon she felt limited with painting and her vivid imagination lead her to explore animation and film. She wanted to create more immersive landscapes that contained sound, time and space where she could induce the viewer into a journey. The main protagonist “bRAINFLY” leads the viewer through environments created of body parts.
