Cherkaoui presenting Babel at la Villette in Paris

It was spectacular!! I'm so glad I finally made it to see Cherkaoui. It was one of the most amazing choreographies I have seen in a long time. Humour, beauty, technique, depth, intelligence. Thank you, thank you Cherkaoui and Gormley!
I have just checked and Cherkaoui will be performing with Gregory Maqoma and Shanell Winlock at the Lilian Baylis Studio in London from 6th October to 9th October.
It's so soon ... I can't wait!!

a little piece of spring in east london
As I was walking towards Columbia road flower market on another grey Sunday, asking myself why I wasn't back in my hometown, Paris, I stumbled upon this beautiful scene. Seeing the cherry petals glide over this old wooden coffee stall - a vision out of a stage set - was so incredibly poetic!
